The Premier League's Project Restart has received another boost after just two more positive coronavirus cases emerged following a further 996 tests conducted on players and staff.

Two people from different clubs have tested positive for the virus in the second round of testing, taking the total number of people infected across Premier League clubs to eight.

The players or staff who tested positive will now self-isolate for seven days, as per government guidelines.
